HELLOS from husband's computer! I feel naked with out my laptop this week, but its going to be taken care of and returned to me in a better state. I have some projects to post but I can't find my dang card reader so I will have to snag one tonight. Good stuff.

In other news I got to play with some new Midnight Frost from Bo Bunny last night and put together a very nifty layout. Along with this release they also shipped valentine's goodies. While the paper lines themselves are fabulous, its October! Valentines?!?!? really? I guess its good to get a head start, huh?

Also, Sarah made a huge announcement this week and she's opening her very own store in Newark, Ca! Our Paper Place is destined to be another great store! If you're in the area, mark November 26th, 2010 for their grand opening!

Well, I have a very short to do list today consisting of:
Finish Laundry
Clean Floors
Do Dishes
Make Pudding x4 for Halloween Parfaits
Do Dishes
Make Snoup
Hit the Grocery Store
Hit the Fabric Store
Bake Cupcakes
Do Dishes

Not to mention that tonight I have a make & take planned at Memories Live On and will be stuffing the details into The Sampler's November kits! Well, minus a couple cutie things from Jillibean Soup that are on their way!

Its almost noon. I should get back to this list huh? Happy Friday everyone!

Another very fun day at Uesugi Farms in Morgan Hill, CA. love this farm. they have great attractions/rides. Each year Tyler has explored and learned from this place in different ways! Got some nice photos too before my camera died. whoops. it did leave my arms free for massive pumpkin picking. We're having a B.Y.O.P. carving party this Halloween and what better decoration than PUMPKINS!!!

I also got some great polaroids in my halloween journal already from this trip! really enjoying all the different but coordinating thickers i'm putting in that thing!

Speaking of our B.Y.O.P. party.... super quick invites and/or halloween card up at SBSRUS for those of us who are last minute crafters..... not naming any names.... :D

i have a crafty cold

no, it doesnt mean that my cold is attacking in particularly sneaky ways, just that i am feeling quite crafty these past couple days since i've had a cold. which is neat. normally colds just make want naps, but not so much today. oh! and i just noticed it started raining outside. love it!

anywho, here is peek number 1 at my cold of crafting. i finally got around to scrapping more of the poodle. i made a mini album a while back and now i'm set on making some layouts featuring him. I never paid much attention to this Cats&Dogs line from Pebbles, but Vivian at Memories Live On handed me some to play with and its really a cute paper line. Some of the "backsides" are just plain perfect prints!

OH! and we did make it out to the Hambly event this past thursday! Very Fun. Suzy's costume was hilarious and Sarah was so cute as a lady bug! The boy had big fun making the make&takes, and as always Hambly's Chris was a sweetheart and gave him some extra treat (*cough* because of course he needed them *cough*)

certainly not my best photograph, but captures the essence of the night. Sarah's beautiful smile and Tyler ignoring me... ;)

ok, back to my desk before i fully mend from this cold! happy weekend everyone!

your friendly nieghborhood SpiderMan

tonight Hambly Studios is having an open house which I am super torn about attending. I really want to attend but it means driving over "the hill" twice tonight which, for those of you non-locals, isn't really super fun times! But, between the fact I adore the Hambly staff, sweetest Sarah will be there and Suzy West has come up with a costume i cannot miss, I think i will be driving twice no matter.

speaking of playing dress up.... i got a few more polaroids scrapp'd using The Sampler's October kit again!

While they are the one piece thats not in the kit THIS MONTH, i am really diggin those tiny type alphas from cosmo cricket!

a new favorite

Tonight things are pretty blah. its still mostly early and i seem to have run out of things to do. no ongoing projects to work on. the place is clean. the never-ending laundry has temporarily ended. i feel like i dont have anything to do and its driving me nuts!

Posted by Picasa

hum. well. i made this a couple days ago using the Circa 1934 from cosmo cricket. a really fun paper line. i wish i had the right photos for the rest of it. maybe some orange juice will perk me up. ah well. everyone have a super night and see ya'll tomorrow!

Spooky Memories of 2010 Mini Album/Journal

So everyone is working on their daily december journals. an idea i adore. i have mine started. BUT i have more pressing holidays to prepare for and preserve! Today i had a couple sheets of truly adorable patterned papers from Bo Bunny's WHOO-LIGANS line. So far its *gasp* empty!

But it's ready for the next couple weeks of photos and crafting! I kept my pages super simple so i can go nuts with inks and paints after something that day inspires me!

All the photo mats are cut to hold a 3x5 photo OOOOOR a polaroid. Can anyone tell i'm ready some Halloween shenanigans? yay! Can't wait!

a perfect day plus a bonus card class

I finally got around to scrappin' some of the 1st Polaroids I took with my cutie patootie instax mini7 that i took on our last trip to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium.

The View. The Boy. The FroYo. Perfection.

I put both of these pages together using pieces from The Sampler's October Kit. Super cute. and yes, thats cork! Completely in love with the texture!

Also, class coming up at Memories Live On using The Sampler's October kit as well! Quick Cards! This class will incorporate using "scraps" and a few techniques to stretch those into a pile of cards anyone would love to receive. Check out Memories Live On for more details.

Ok, a few more things on the crafty to do list today then off to pick up the boy and some paninis for dinner. gotta love the days when it all just comes together!

Today we finally made it to our 1st pumpkin patch of the year. We went to Rodoni Farms just north of santa cruz with the boy's preschool. major fun. we got to pick pumpkins and crawl all over hay and, of course, the moms took only a few billion photos.

Which reminds me, i really need to order photos soon. i have soo many great photos to catch up on and nothing organized enough to print. Which also worries me. I think i'm going to have to send my laptop back to hp. Problems with the graphics card and/or possibly its connection to the motherboard. to anyone who plays a graphic intensive PC game of any sort this is bad news. and right before the expansion. ugh.

ok, enough geeking out. i took today off from going into the store. now i have most of the afternoon to work on some layouts (i have some new circa 1934 from Cosmo Cricket that is dying for some scrappin'!) there is a good chance i will be back with more scrappy updates.

good morning friday

1st things 1st, we have a winner from my HOLY HAMBLY GIVEAWAY! Congrats to Ashley who came from my very favorite pal Sarah's blog! thank you thank you thank you to Sarah for posting a link for me and giving a few more ppl a chance at the goodies. I have another package that i'm thinking of putting up this weekend. it's either going to be my left over Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland OR maybe that plus some fall goodies. still need to do some sorting.

Speaking of giveaways, i put up a plum perfect purple giveaway at the crop spot last week in honor of world/national cardmaking day. swing by and leave a comment if you get a chance! as you know, you never know exactly what kind of goodies you might get when they let me be in charge!

Also at the crop spot, i'm tutorializing my fall pumpkin table pieces. I put the 1st one up yesterday and have 3 more waiting in the wings!

today, today i clean. and make paper rosettes. we got some of the fall Tim Holtz products into the store this week and i've been so inspired to make. i have 3 make & takes ready to go and dreams of garland in my head. time to get back to gluin!

YAY to Cathy who is my 1st winner as i clean out my stash! I've been slowly making my way through everything and sorting for more giveaways. It feels so awesome to be mostly sorted for now and to also share with all of yall!

It seems as though this week has been particularly rough. Trivial things, but things to think about none the less. BUT, today has been quite nice. Things scratched off my lists, tv shows watched, plans made. quite nice indeed.

Anywho, so i've been MIA with random shinanigans. BUT i have a little time to make a few layouts. I got to work with some photos from last halloween. The little boy is such an imp.

I had some of the new pieces from the new American Craft BOO! line. This line has some way fun colors that i couldn't turn down. Also, if you haven't seen them yet, American Crafts came out with a new border Thicker. They are so so so yums! I really do hope they come up with more of these! I'm also really enjoying the glazed Bazzill cardstock. The black on black strip is simply Bazzill cardstock. love it!

PS. the Thickers alphas and borders are in this month's kit from The Sampler if you want to give them a try!

i just wish things always this still...

1 imaginisce sketch challenge = 2+ pretty neat layouts!

I have definitely taken a likening to sketches lately. I am so lucky to have so much great product to play with that sometimes the ideas just don't jump out at me! I found this sketch over at the Imaginisce blog earlier this week and immediately made two layouts.

i used some so the imaginisce fall line to play along with the challenge. so cute and super easy to work with. i love the embossed detail on their papers but the "backsides" are super cute too. this and their christmas line i had to buy two of each at the least! dangit stash! get smaller already! oh and are those red houndstooth (jillibean soup!) alpha's amazing or what? they're flat stickers i put foam under, but omg sooooo cute!

after i finished the 1st layout, my hands were still moving so i made another more loosely based on the sketch using some of my current favorite crate paper line. it was a good night. and i'm not counting this sketch out yet. there are so many possibilities in a single sketch. definitely saving this one!

ok. i think its time to work around the house and pack up some more purge giveaways. only two up so far and so many more to go. it feels soooo good to even have some of my drawers cleaned out and organized. happy times!

holy hambly

ok, i'm keeping this purge going. i went through my hambly drawer this morning. i have two good things to report. 1) i can now close the drawer. 2) I HAVE ANOTHER GIVEAWAY!

so, this hefty pile of hambly can be all yours. some new some old. all 100% unused and oh so yummy. leave a comment starting now through say another two weeks, so october 20th, 2010 and you win! please share with your friends and dont forget about gieveaway number 1

ok, i mean it this time.

i am embarking on the purge of all purges. and it starts NOW! i'm going to donate and giveaway as much of my stash as i can bear. there is just too much! right now i have these two kits infront of me that need a home! super cute page kits from embellishonline.com. no idea where i got them or why. never going to assemble them. how about i send them to one of you and you can piece them together for your own books!!?!?!?! i love that idea!

leave a comment. i'll give it two weeks. so leave a comment by october 19, 2010. if you post a link on your blogs, facebooks, etc... then leave me another comment with that link and i will add you to the hat again! please tell your friends! i am really gearing up to get rid of not only these kits but A LOT!

why did i wait so long to get this?!

ok, new favorite kitchen gadget. a cookie scooper thing. totally infatuated.

dont mind the yuckiness of the frozen dough. the cookies were fine. but the making of them was fabulous. and they were so pretty. this little dude is way worth the space he's taking up in my drawer-o-stuffs. totally going to get mega use out of this come the holiday season!

totally going to rock today out by finishing some layouts that were inspired by this month's sketch over at imaginisce, a quick trip to hambly to pick up some goodies and then its tuesday night, so that means video games! hooray! fun fun fun!

its also time to get some gourds for the house. mmm... fall....

Happy National Cardmaking Day!!!

Super quick, I wanted to drop off a link to an amazing giveaway we're doing over at ScrapbookingSuppliesRus.com! It runs through the end of october, so go check it out and tell your friends!!!
