HELLOS from husband's computer! I feel naked with out my laptop this week, but its going to be taken care of and returned to me in a better state. I have some projects to post but I can't find my dang card reader so I will have to snag one tonight. Good stuff.

In other news I got to play with some new Midnight Frost from Bo Bunny last night and put together a very nifty layout. Along with this release they also shipped valentine's goodies. While the paper lines themselves are fabulous, its October! Valentines?!?!? really? I guess its good to get a head start, huh?

Also, Sarah made a huge announcement this week and she's opening her very own store in Newark, Ca! Our Paper Place is destined to be another great store! If you're in the area, mark November 26th, 2010 for their grand opening!

Well, I have a very short to do list today consisting of:
Finish Laundry
Clean Floors
Do Dishes
Make Pudding x4 for Halloween Parfaits
Do Dishes
Make Snoup
Hit the Grocery Store
Hit the Fabric Store
Bake Cupcakes
Do Dishes

Not to mention that tonight I have a make & take planned at Memories Live On and will be stuffing the details into The Sampler's November kits! Well, minus a couple cutie things from Jillibean Soup that are on their way!

Another very fun day at Uesugi Farms in Morgan Hill, CA. love this farm. they have great attractions/rides. Each year Tyler has explored and learned from this place in different ways! Got some nice photos too before my camera died. whoops. it did leave my arms free for massive pumpkin picking. We're having a B.Y.O.P. carving party this Halloween and what better decoration than PUMPKINS!!!

I also got some great polaroids in my halloween journal already from this trip! really enjoying all the different but coordinating thickers i'm putting in that thing!

Speaking of our B.Y.O.P. party.... super quick invites and/or halloween card up at SBSRUS for those of us who are last minute crafters..... not naming any names.... :D

i have a crafty cold

no, it doesnt mean that my cold is attacking in particularly sneaky ways, just that i am feeling quite crafty these past couple days since i've had a cold. which is neat. normally colds just make want naps, but not so much today. oh! and i just noticed it started raining outside. love it!

anywho, here is peek number 1 at my cold of crafting. i finally got around to scrapping more of the poodle. i made a mini album a while back and now i'm set on making some layouts featuring him. I never paid much attention to this Cats&Dogs line from Pebbles, but Vivian at Memories Live On handed me some to play with and its really a cute paper line. Some of the "backsides" are just plain perfect prints!




OH! and we did make it out to the Hambly event this past thursday! Very Fun. Suzy's costume was hilarious and Sarah was so cute as a lady bug! The boy had big fun making the make&takes, and as always Hambly's Chris was a sweetheart and gave him some extra treat (*cough* because of course he needed them *cough*)

tonight Hambly Studios is having an open house which I am super torn about attending. I really want to attend but it means driving over "the hill" twice tonight which, for those of you non-locals, isn't really super fun times! But, between the fact I adore the Hambly staff, sweetest Sarah will be there and Suzy West has come up with a costume i cannot miss, I think i will be driving twice no matter.

While they are the one piece thats not in the kit THIS MONTH, i am really diggin those tiny type alphas from cosmo cricket!

a new favorite

Tonight things are pretty blah. its still mostly early and i seem to have run out of things to do. no ongoing projects to work on. the place is clean. the never-ending laundry has temporarily ended. i feel like i dont have anything to do and its driving me nuts!

hum. well. i made this a couple days ago using the Circa 1934 from cosmo cricket. a really fun paper line. i wish i had the right photos for the rest of it. maybe some orange juice will perk me up. ah well. everyone have a super night and see ya'll tomorrow!

Spooky Memories of 2010 Mini Album/Journal

So everyone is working on their daily december journals. an idea i adore. i have mine started. BUT i have more pressing holidays to prepare for and preserve! Today i had a couple sheets of truly adorable patterned papers from Bo Bunny's WHOO-LIGANS line. So far its *gasp* empty!

But it's ready for the next couple weeks of photos and crafting! I kept my pages super simple so i can go nuts with inks and paints after something that day inspires me!

All the photo mats are cut to hold a 3x5 photo OOOOOR a polaroid. Can anyone tell i'm ready some Halloween shenanigans? yay! Can't wait!

a perfect day plus a bonus card class

I finally got around to scrappin' some of the 1st Polaroids I took with my cutie patootie instax mini7 that i took on our last trip to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium.

I put both of these pages together using pieces from The Sampler's October Kit. Super cute. and yes, thats cork! Completely in love with the texture!

pumpkins!!!!

Today we finally made it to our 1st pumpkin patch of the year. We went to Rodoni Farms just north of santa cruz with the boy's preschool. major fun. we got to pick pumpkins and crawl all over hay and, of course, the moms took only a few billion photos.

 

Which reminds me, i really need to order photos soon. i have soo many great photos to catch up on and nothing organized enough to print. Which also worries me. I think i'm going to have to send my laptop back to hp. Problems with the graphics card and/or possibly its connection to the motherboard. to anyone who plays a graphic intensive PC game of any sort this is bad news. and right before the expansion. ugh.

ok, enough geeking out. i took today off from going into the store. now i have most of the afternoon to work on some layouts (i have some new circa 1934 from Cosmo Cricket that is dying for some scrappin'!) there is a good chance i will be back with more scrappy updates.
